Title
Marvelling in the Court of the Lions
Description
In the Alhambra of Grenada, two nuns marvel at the swirling arabesques in the Court of the Lions. At the base of the fountain, surrounded by twelve lions, lines from a poem by Ibn Zamrak compare the water of the fountain to tears of a lover.
