            Description
The mosque at Hassan Tower functioned from 1200 to 1755, when it was destroyed by an earthquake. The mosque was built according to the designs of the Giralda in Seville, Spain, and the Koutoubia in Marrakesh. According to myth, the same designer actually traveled to Morocco to draw up the plans.
