Title
Main street, Roman settlement of Volubilis
Description
To emphasize imperial majesty, Roman architecture stressed the monumental. The arches in the distance formed the backdrop for the film 'Patton.' General Patton himself was known as a student of history, always examining classic battles to understand the art of war better. The film shows him riding up the cobblestones, musing about the importance of what can be learned from history. Morocco has also become a major international center for movie-making, with its spectacular mountain and desert scenery, relatively stable and supportive government, and low production costs.
