Description
Photographs, Black and White ; 24 x 18 cm.
This black-and-white aerial image shows an area of mixed land use in the process of suburban development. The top portion contains partially completed road grids and some residential houses, while the bottom half remains mostly open fields and farmland. A diagonal road runs from the top center to the bottom right, intersecting with smaller roads. To the left side of the image, circular and curved paths appear, likely part of a landscaped area or park. Some patches of forested land and brush are visible throughout the open fields. The photograph is labeled 8226-216 in the upper right, with “Fairchild Aerial Surveys Inc. N.Y.C.” noted in the bottom right corner.
