Title
The Tune of Seven Towers'
Subject
Watercolor painting--19th century.
English poetry--19th century.
Description
Three pale, elongated figures appear with downward-tilted heads, positioned in a row among vertical elements that resemble stylized tree trunks or architectural columns. The background is a mix of browns and purples with faint circular shapes and rectangular blocks, creating a somber, layered effect. The central figure leans slightly forward, and all figures are rendered with soft, translucent outlines. The painting is signed "Margaret Macdonald 1897" in the bottom right corner.
Pencil, watercolor, gold and silver paint on vellum
