Description
E. Bennion, Antique Dental Instruments, p. 32
Used in the extraction of teeth
Double-ended iron with two serrated bolsters and two claws fixed on a swivel joint.
A small antique metal medical instrument with a hinged, three-part structure is shown against a plain background. Two slender arms extend downward from a central pivot, while a third upright shaft rises above it, ending in a small, curved, textured pad. A similar curved pad appears at the lower end of the central shaft. The decorative turned detailing along the shafts and the aged metal surface suggest a historical surgical or medical device designed for controlled pressure or expansion.
