Description
Photographs, Black and White ; 24 x 18 cm.
This black-and-white aerial photograph depicts a tightly packed residential area on the right side, where rows of single-family houses follow a rectilinear street grid. On the left side of the image, a large open park area is visible, containing several baseball diamonds, tree-lined sections, and open grassy fields. At the center-left, there are institutional or school buildings with multiple structures and athletic facilities, including additional baseball fields. Curved roads and landscaped areas can be seen in the lower left portion of the park. The bottom portion of the photograph shows a transition between the parkland and more residential blocks, with streets aligned diagonally at the bottom left corner. The number 8226-226 is written at the top right, and the bottom right notes Fairchild Aerial Surveys Inc. N.Y.C..
